Book a Private Jet to Milan Linate

Milan Linate Airport (LIN) is one of two international airports in Italy’s second largest city. Owing to the airport’s proximity to the city centre, arrival and departure periods are very short and, for the same reason, LIN Airport is especially popular with business travellers. Furthermore, Milan Linate’s wide range of exclusive services are ideal for private passengers.

Milan Linate Airport: From Flying Boats to Private Jets

Originally named after the Italian aviation pioneer Enrico Forlanini, Milan Linate Airport was first opened in 1937. In its first few years, the airport served both land aircraft and flying boats. The latter started out from and landed on the neighbouring Lake Idroscalo, a man-made body of water constructed solely to facilitate flying boat travel in the region. Until the late 1990s, Linate Airport was the most important air travel hub in the city of Milan. With the expansion of Milan Malpensa – the city’s other airport – flight traffic to Linate was restricted to 18 flight movements per hour. International travel from the airport was also curtailed. Owing to these changes, Milan LIN Airport is now less busy than Malpensa. For domestic connections and business flights, however, the airport remains an attractive departure or landing point.

Private Jet Charter from Milan Linate

Milan Airport Linate is approximately 8 kilometres outside the city centre. Due to the limited number of international flights, the airport is mainly used for domestic flights. The importance of the airport for business travel is largely due to its proximity to Italy’s second largest city and several centres of industry. As both the city centre and major business centre are only a few kilometres away, travelling from Milan Linate to business commitments is a painless experience. The airport’s location in northern Italy also makes it an excellent starting point for flights to other European countries. With a private jet from Milan Linate, one needs only an hour or two to reach any of the following European destinations:

A charter flight from Milan Linate to Rome Ciampino (CIA) takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
