Hire a Private Jet to Warsaw Chopin Airport

The Polish capital’s airport is the largest and most important in the country. Warsaw Chopin Airport lies about ten kilometres outside the city and has two runways, which can support aircraft of all weights and classes. Whether travelling by private jet to or from Warsaw, visitors to the airport can enjoy a world-class standard of service.

Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW)

Warsaw Airport was originally built in the densely populated suburb of Mokotów. However, as it wasn’t possible to expand the airport at this original location, the decision was made to move the airport to its current location in the Włochy district. The official opening of Warsaw Okęcie Airport - as it was then called - took place in 1934. The airport was almost entirely destroyed during the Second World War and was rebuilt and extensively renovated by the Polish and Soviet authorities throughout the 1940s and 1950s. After the fall of communism, the modernisation and expansion of Warsaw Airport began in the 1990s. In 1992, the two-storey Terminal 1 was built and opened for public use, whilst a second new terminal was built in 2008. The two terminals have since been combined to create Terminal A in order to accommodate the increasing volume of flights to Warsaw. In addition to the terminals for scheduled and private flights, the airport has a separate terminal for air freight. In 2001, the airport was renamed after the Polish composer Frédéric Chopin. Due to a lack of capacity at Warsaw WAW, low-cost airline traffic was relocated to Warsaw Modlin Airport in 2012. As soon as damage to the runway was detected, the additional traffic returned to its original position.
